Tancas Abertas

The Tomb of Gigants Sa Pedra Longa is located in the territory of Torralba, about 100 meters northeast of the municipal road connecting the town with Bonorva and Foresta Burgos , near km 5.3. The Rio Mannu flows 70 meters further north, between the nuraghi Lendine and Tulis Alto.

The monument, reported by Taramelli in the Archaeological Map of 1940, is now in poor state of preservation: only part of the exedra with the curved stele and a short section of the funeral corridor is visible, uncovered as a result of illegal excavations.

The burial body, 15 meters long and just 60 cm high, extends along the east-west axis.

The exedra, partially legible, is formed by nine orthostatic slabs, some in place, others overturned.

Worthy of note is a semicircular slab 1.20 meters high, perhaps a betyl.

In the center of the exedra stands the monolithic stele in basalt, 3.25 meters high, with an access door visible inside the funeral corridor.
