Description
In the area characterized by limestone benches, there are two sloping rock outcroppings, where a hypogeal necropolis (domus de janas) has been excavated.
Tombs I-II are located in one outcrop, while tombs III-IX in the other, with entrances oriented to E/SE. The entrances are preceded by dromoi, short corridors carved into the rock, which sometimes end in a pavilion (Tombs II, VIII, IX) with an access door.
The tombs are multicellular, predominantly T-shaped, with some enlargements. Among the tombs, Tomb VIII stands out for its refined decoration. It is accessed through an elevated dromos that leads to a square vestibule, without a ceiling, with traces of frames and pilasters. The anteroom presents a ceiling with decoration imitating a wooden roof, while the main chamber has a double-pitched ceiling with beams.
In Tomb IX, two hemispherical cup-markings are noticeable in the dromos.
Outside the Tomb VII there are two menhirs and a slab, markers of the burial area.
