Description
The church of Santa Lucia is located on the southern slope of Monte Lachesos, in the territory of Mores. It is believed to be the parish church of the vanished village of Lachesos, mentioned in sources as far back as the fourteenth century.
Built in the fourteenth century with limestone blocks, it features a late Romanesque design with Gothic elements, such as trilobate single-light windows. The single-nave hall ends with a semispherical apse equipped with a small window, while the sacristy is adjoined on the right side. The main entrance is preceded by a barrel-vaulted corridor and surmounted by a newly built bell gable.
The interior, plastered and colorful, preserves the raised altar table, an ancient baptismal font, and a wooden pulpit, testifying to the long religious tradition of the place.
